Executive Search Process
A search assignment is initiated after terms and conditions have been agreed and a detailed briefing has been given by the client in relation to the role being filled.
In the case of a new client considerable time will be allocated to understanding the corporate profile of the organisation and its desired outcomes. In addition to role responsibilities and accountabilities, specific attention is given to the personal profile of the individual required to fill the role.
Retained Executive Search
- A Guaranteed Outcome:
A retained search guarantees specific ongoing focus in identifying an excellent candidate. All searches are costly due to the time required. In a situation where at least a portion of our cost is covered we are able to invest additional time in certain aspects of the search.
Typically, informal referencing of potential candidates with nominated referees (in addition to formal referencing done at short list stage) and extensive use of our network . Ultimately this gives NextSearch the confidence to offer double the guarantee period (6 months).
- Charging Basis:
Fees are charged at a percentage of the salary package, one third on instruction to proceed with the search (retainer), one third on presentation of the shortlist and one third following the successful appointment of the candidate. (see also Terms of Business tab)
Exclusive Executive Search
- Benefits:
Notwithstanding the fact that search work undertaken by NextSearch is always handled in a professional manner, an exclusive arrangement obviates the need to err on the side of expediency when selecting candidates. With this arrangement NextSearch offers a guarantee period of three (3) months.
- Charging basis:
Fees are charged for the introduction of candidates at a percentage of the salary package, on a successful appointment only basis. (see also terms of Business tab)
Non-exclusive Search
NextSearch does undertake multiple agency search assignments from time to time as many companies are required, through company policy, to handle recruiting in this way. Our acceptance of this arrangement will however depend on certain criteria:
- The number of agencies appointed to handle the assignment.
- The type of role.
- The working relationship with the client.
- Payment terms
